Gorgeous Rare Antique Georgian Sterling Silver Pavé Turquoise Heart Locket, c.1790 - 1840! Charm Pendant

A gorgeous and exquisite, example of a rare, enchanting early Georgian Victorian or earlier Pendant Locket in the form of an elegantly shaped puffy heart. Sure to become a fabulous addition to your charm bracelet or fine necklace. These are becoming so hard to find and are escalating in price daily due to scarcity. This sculptural and curvilinear pavé setting features multiple small turquoise gemstones which are masterfully crafted blue turquoise gems.

Pavé setting with multiple small turquoise gemstones are masterfully crafted individually on the heart. The settings are so close together that only the teeny tiny metal prongs are exposed between. Under a loop they took like extremely tiny hand-crafted silver burrs were used to securely hold the lovely stones in place. Persian turquoise, the finest. Absolutely GORGEOUS!

Possibly an English antique this piece has a nice jump ring which remains in place to slip a chain through to add it to a necklace. The stones are not paste they are indeed genuine gemstones.

Condition: Excellent

Color: Lovely robin's-egg Arizona blue hue.

Hallmarks: No Hallmarks

Measurements: approx. 1-1/8 inches = 26 MM) in total length including the round "O" enhancer fitting at the top of the heart.

Date: Circa late 1700 – early 1800s

Era: Georgian / Victorian

Unique Feature: These rare pendants normally hold an artistic mourning keepsake or small photo inside the back of teh pendant; The entire setting is in very good condition considering it's age. The usual crystal clear glazed glass on the back's reverse (which is no longer present) would have contained a cherished small memento.
