Rare Authentic Victorian Era Earrings!

Offered for sale is a truly gorgeous pair of Antique Victorian (slightly after the Georgian era) earrings. Circa 1838. Gloriously hand-crafted. Intricately detailed. Beautifully styled in 18k red rose and yellow gold. Clear rose-cut diamonds, typical of that period, are surrounded by elegant and fine quality workmanship in an elegant floral flower pattern. The unique reverse latch hinges work properly and fasten in the front of the ear instead of the back. Amazing tiny little filigree-like Fleur De Les style clover shaped, openwork detailing adorns these beauties. Also featuring open backs to allow the light to illuminate the diamonds. Again, these are diamonds not paste, they have been tested. A classic pair of Victorian heirloom earrings in excellent original condition. Dainty and lovely. Condition: RARE, CLEAN & absolutely BEAUTIFUL!

Victorian Diamonds: Approx - 1.7MM each. In excellent condition and fully *faceted (*rose type cuts). 2 diamonds in all. Excellent!

Style: Dangle, drop, dripping from the earlobe.

Metals: Tested as 18K, 18ct, 18 carats

Metal Color: Sultry yellow gold with rose gold intricacies in certain lighting. Gold is exquisitely hand-crafted and extremely detailed as you can see. Rare!

Hallmarks: Solid 18k. The earrings are hallmarked with a French mark that is an eagle’s head, in use since 1838, indicating 18 karat gold. Assayed French gold is never lower than 18k. Gorgeous as-is and as shown. Also has another hallmarked which we can not make out and is too small to photograph clearly.
