Rare Authentic Antique Georgian/Victorian Era Earrings!
Offered for sale is a truly gorgeous pair of Antique Diamond earrings. Circa 1790 - 1830s.
This is a elegant pair of late 18th century antique Rose Cut DIAMOND earrings. A beautiful and romantic two elemental 18K solid rose gold and sterling silver design. Typically cluster shape pendant drop. Sometimes earrings of this period can be small. However, these lovely earrings are bold not diminutive they are larger than average and each are overflowing with (7 total) genuine antique rose cut 7 Diamonds each. There are approx. 1.2 carat total in 14 Rose Cut Diamonds Total! Dramatic and Gorgeous! We had a similar pair to this that we added to our store a few weeks ago, but those SOLD within minutes of being added. The rose cut diamonds are set in pinched collets giving the setting a rather ornate look with a Baroque look with or floral type forms. The flower clusters of silver set with early rose cuts however the entire back is covered in 18K (18CT) Rose (not Yellow) Gold. The ear wires are of pink or rose and are also 18K. Termed “French” wire. A characteristic Georgian form of diamonds and silver fashioned with the backs backs of the earrings have a tested 18k rose gold wash. Stunning, sparkling and ready to wear!
Measurements: Just over 3/4 of an inche (2 cm) in total length including ear wire with a width ranging from 1/2 of an inch (2 cm) at the widest.
Condition: Very good; all diamond are present, no chips, they are all intact and rose-cut; (please see photos and please ask questions).
