Elegant Antique Georgian /Victorian 14k Gold Pavé Seed Pearl & Diamond Sentimental Heart Ring.

Hallmarks: Old scroll cut hand inscription what looks like "C o" then "11 1' 1'  Possibly meaning 11, Jan 1801 (?). The Hallmarks are very faded and worn away and difficult to read and photograph (see images).

An exceptional piece of history from the Georgian / Victorian era (late 1700's - early 1800's). The Diamond is very clear and bright with a unique, faceted, rose cushion cut by hand shape that is slightly oval in shape. Approx. F-G in color, and VS2/SI1 in clarity and exhibits an amazing amount of fire and life! Crafted in fine 14K yellow gold (tested).

Holding over 100+ graduated hand-set tiny antique pearls, the center diamond is approx. 3MM x 2.7MM carats.

Once upon a time this gorgeous antique Georgian ring had a small glass backing insert to help hold a keepsake. Through the back of the locket's opening you can see the reverse side of the diamond setting with the diamonds culet poking through. A fabulous charm on your finger. A gorgeous and exquisite, rare example of an enchanting early Georgian / Victorian jewelry. Masterfully crafted as a sculptural heart. Absolutely breathtaking!
