The diamond is the birthstone of April. Its origin derives from the Greek word "adamas," meaning indestructible. The Greeks believed the brilliance and fire in the diamond reflected the constant flame of eternal love.

During the last 3000 or 4000 years, diamonds have always symbolized wealth, power, love, spirit and magical powers. It was believed that diamonds were actual fragments of stars and the teardrops of the gods.
