A gorgeous and exquisite, example of a rare, enchanting early Georgian Victorian or earlier Pendant Locket. In the form of an elegantly shaped puffy heart. Sure to become a fabulous addition to your charm bracelet or necklace or perfect for display in a glass case. Featuring a series of circular Fine Persian Turquoise gemstones.

These are becoming so hard to find and are escalating in price daily. This represents a wonderful opportunity to own a beautiful antique treasure at such a great price. This tiny keepsake heart is very elegantly crafted. This piece has a sculptural and curvilinear pavé setting with multiple small turquoise gems masterfully crafted individually for the heart. The entire heart is completely hand-made by a Master Artisan's hands and their tools.

The chain enhancer with no stones is original to the piece. The gems are set extremely close together and feature a smooth cobblestone pattern close to the surface. Gives the appearance that the surface of this fine jewelry is "paved" with gemstones. Simply Exquisite...

During the early and late Victorian periods use of turquoise in fine jewelry was highly desired and most popular. With nearly (26) finely sculpted and carved smooth cabochons of genuine, untreated, natural Persian turquoise (the color reminds us of ocean blue, sleeping beauty or Arizona turquoise). You can rest assured this stunning one-of-a-kind piece took many days if not weeks to design & masterfully create. The settings are so close together that only the teeny tiny metal prongs are exposed between. Under a loop they took like extremely teeny tiny hand-crafted silver burrs were used to hold the lovely stones in place. Gemstones are of the finest quality.

Condition: EXCELLENT - sterling is polished super smooth with no defects to it's surface.

Also, when you hold the heart in your hands you can see on the
back that the entire heart was hand forged and not made from a
mold. It is indeed very old. Still bares some of the original
gilt on the back near the bail. What happens is people polish
these stunning hearts to make them shine again. The heart looked
a MUCH older before we polished it and ultra cleaned each
gemstone. We did the best we could to bring her back to her
former glory.

As you can see the heart is in wonderful condition. We guarantee
this is a genuine antique treasure.

The teeny tiny hole on the back at the bottom is typical of hearts created during this time period. We have sold MANY of these extremely hard-to-find hearts so we should know. We are jewelers a GIA graduate degrees. We know the hole on this antique design is part of the design and was most likely used to insert a tool that helped guide the antique metal-smith designer with lining up the two completed heart halves and solder them together seamlessly without using his hands to hold the heart. This very old heart is completely hand-crafted. Today modern jewelry hearts are no longer made in this difficult time consuming, old fashioned hand-crafted way. That is what makes this so rare.

This heart is like a miniature piece of wearable ART!

In GOREGOUS overall condition with expected slight variations in color to the stones shapes since they are each completely hand-crafted pavé-set turquoise.
