A truly breathtaking example of finer late Georgian to Victorian era hand carved coral jewelry. Normally found in museums, the adorable miniature putti is resting and nestled on a flowing blanket. Effortlessly holding part of the blanket under his deep relief tiny baby belly with one hand the putti is also reaching his left hand up and forward to gently hold the blanket extending his arm. You can almost hear him giggle as the flowers brush up against his smooth skin... Gloriously resting on an assortment of elegant, intricate, beautifully hand carved and polished bouquet of flowers in different stages of bloom, open roses, high-relief closed rose buds, fruit, berries, with over 22 individually intricately hand carved leaves, each with their own uniquely shape bodies and veining front and back. The artist really paid attention to every detail. The brooch features more than 15 varieties of lovely antique hand carved coral flowers Exceptional detail. Extremely fine and very rare. This putti has the cutest little face too. Teeny tiny little fingers and petite toes. Absolutely Gorgeous!

CONDITION: COUTURE, EXQUISITE - Very good to excellent (as shown) superbly crafted all original. No loose leaves. Each piece of coral is very secure. only a few blemishes to leaves on the back, as to be expected. Very small naturally occurring tiny holes that are original to the coral's stem.

The coral is a beautiful red salmon color. Uniquely shaped into a heart at over 2.5" in total length. This is a special heirloom quality design you'll enjoy wearing for many years to come.
